REIN RECORDS® SIGNS RISING INDIE ROCK ARTIST LOGAN POLLAK
PERFORMING AT 10SELDEN ON APRIL 19TH
NEW SINGLE “THIS ISN’T HOPELESS” RELEASING MAY 10TH
Rein Records is proud to announce the signing of indie rock artist Logan Pollak, whose emotionally raw songwriting and genre-bending sound has drawn comparisons to the likes of Radiohead and Car Seat Headrest. The signing marks a significant moment for both the label and Pollak as they prepare for the release of his new single, “This Isn’t Hopeless,” set to drop May 10th.
Logan Pollak is a multi-instrumentalist, producer and student at the University of New Haven. He has spent the last several years creating music that appeals to the underground scene, as he provides a blend of lo-fi textures, jazz harmony, introspective lyrics, and dynamic live performances. Writing his own songs since before arriving to college, Logan is comfortable in a variety of genres, but in the last year he found his sound with the release of his debut album, And So The Wheels Turn, a rich and complex work with moments of modal harmony paired with anguished and despaired lyricism. These contrast with beautiful melodic lines and themes of perseverance. That album showed his collaborative nature with performances alongside artists like Hannah Mae and Gri4m, allowing Pollak’s songwriting and compositions to stand out even more.
This signing was all about communication and partnership, as Rein Records, in their pursuit of Pollak, showed clear excitement about him and his music, “This is going to be a partnership with clear goals and intentions, that creates great music and finds that music’s audience”, said Antonio Rodriguez, part of the A&R team that signed Pollak to Rein Records. This is a two-way street as Pollak expressed opportunistic excitement: “I’m very excited about future releases, and I know this will be an awesome and beneficial partnership.”
Pollak’s upcoming single, “This Isn’t Hopeless”, channels the experimental edge of early 2000s alt-rock with modern production flourishes. The song’s themes of resilience and the search for connection are expressed by shimmering guitars and lush arrangements. In collaboration with his mentor and professor, Dr. Andrew Lee, Pollak has created something new, “a step away from anything else, and a step between past music and a new album”, he said in relation to the single, “it is one of my strongest, most vulnerable pieces yet.”
“This Isn’t Hopeless” drops May 10th, 2025, on Rein Records.
